Algiers security services have arrested, during two connected special operations, led by the judicial police of of Bab El Oued district, 12 suspects of drug trafficking (Heroin), said the cell of communication and public relations of Algiers security services on Sunday.
The same statement said that “the phases of the case began after the arrest of a person in Beb El Oued city who was up to sell drug and following investigations under the permanent supervision of the regionally competent prosecution and with extending jurdiction to the eastern region of the capital, the elements of the squad managed to overthrow an organized criminal group of 12 suspects, including a woman and 7 foreign nationals, who were engaged in manufacturing, transportation, distribution of drugs while hosting foreigners without a license”.
“More than 01 kg of drugs (heroin) and 1.7 kg of substances used in the preparation of what is known as Chouchna, two cars used to transport these toxins, 48,500 DZD drug money, 09 blade weapons of various types and sizes, 11 mobile phones, green powder used in counterfeited banknotes, notes of various colors prepared for the counterfeiting of banknotes” the statement added.
Finally, the same source noted that ”after the completion of the legal procedures, the suspects were brought before the competent prosecution regionally”.
