
14 people have died and 472 others have sustained injuries of varying severity, as a result of traffic accidents that have been recorded in several provinces of the country over the last 48 hours, according to a report issued today, Saturday, by the Civil Protection Services.
The report indicated that the heaviest toll was recorded during the period from 25 to 27 August in the province of Annaba, with the death of 04 people and the injury of 28 others.
Meanwhile, the death toll from drowning, the civil protection services recorded the death of 07 people from drowning in Boumerdes, Tipaza, Bejaia and Mostaganem. In Relizane, 02 children aged 3 and 2 years old drowned in a water complex in the place called Douar El Abed in the municipality of Sidi Khatta.
With regard to fight against Forest Fires and agricultural crops, the civil protection services intervened to put out 49 vegetation fires, including forest fires, bush fires, and agricultural crops).
