16th Conference of OIC Member Countries: Boughali held talks with several counterparts in Istanbul

On the sidelines of his participation on Friday in Istanbul (Turkey), President of the People’s National Assembly (ANP), Brahim Boughali held talks with several counterparts at the 16th Conference of the OIC member states, a statement from the Assembly said on Saturday.

The same source explained that Boughali, who is participating at this conference, at the head of a joint parliamentary delegation, met with the Speaker of the Turkish parliament Mustafa Şentop, the two sides discussed “the reality and prospects of bilateral relations that bring together the two countries, especially at the parliamentary level”. Mr Boughali met with Iranian parliament Speaker, Mr Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the talks were an opportunity to address “developments at the international levels and ways to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, especially the parliamentary sector”.

On Friday, Bougali delivered a speech during the opening session of this conference, in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Secretary General of the Union of councils of OIC member states, in which he said that Algeria ” calls on the Islamic peoples to increase solidarity with the Palestinian people while working to safeguard their rights, gains, heritage and identity and to condemn the policies aimed at enabling the Zionist entity to control and seize the region by normalization or collusion”.
