17 people died and 518 others were injured, as a result of traffic accidents that occurred in several regions of the country during the last 72 hours, according to a toll provided, today, Sunday, by Civil Protection.
Civil Protection services also intervened in order to retrieve two deceased victims who drowned in the sea, the first one was a 23-year-old person at the beach in of Bejaia province, while the second victim, a 22-year-old young man, was in a rocky area of Ain el-Turk district, Oran province.
The press release added that Civil Protection services intervened during the same period in order to extinguish several fires in Constantine, Batna, Oran, Laghouat provinces, as well as the province of Medea, where they intervened to put out a fire that broke out in a ground dwelling in Baba Ali neighborhood in the province of Medea, leaving three people with second-degree burns.
