The Municipal Library “Ba khti Ben Aouda” of Oran will host the National Book Fair from June 22 to July 6, coinciding with the 2022 Oran Mediterranean Games, according to the local directorate of Culture and Arts.
More than 30 publishing houses will attend this cultural event to display 8,000 titles in various disciplines, including academic studies, novels, books of foreign languages, dictionaries, in addition to scientific journals, according to the same source.
During this salon, organized by the Directorate of Culture and Arts in partnership with the municipality of Oran and in coordination with the “Gove Expo” Foundation, a special corner will be devoted to children and which will include educational books, intelligence games and other props for this segment.
This salon aims to promote Algerian writers and know the development of the publishing industry in Algeria and to allow authors to introduce their creativity in various disciplines by opening pavilions for selling signed books to encourage reading and introducing new books, as it was indicated.
