Twenty-three (23) people were injured in a traffic accident that took place today, Monday, on the National Road No. (3) linking the provinces of Biskra and Meghaier, according to civil protection services.
The accident occurred at the level of the spinning axis, following a direct collision between a passenger bus operating on the Algiers / Hassi Messaoud line and a vehicle, causing varying injuries to 22 passengers on the bus and the driver of the vehicle, as explained by the Director of Civil Protection, Major Ahmed Badji.
The wounded were transferred to the public hospital, to receive first aid, and most of them left the medical emergency department, according to the same source. The relevant security services opened an investigation to find out the circumstances of the accident.
