
The proceedings of the Arab foreign ministers’ preparatory meeting for the Council of the Arab League at the summit level, which will be hosted by Algeria on November 1-2, concluded on Sunday.
During the meeting, the draft agenda of the Arab League Council at the summit level, then a draft resolution on Arab national food security, as well as a draft resolution on the actions emanating from the meeting of the Economic and Social Council were discussed.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, said at the beginning of the meeting that the consultations allowed reaching consensual results, stressing that these results may facilitate the work of the leaders.
He also thanked everyone “for the patience and the positive and constructive spirit that prevailed during the consultations.”
Yesterday, Saturday, Algeria assumed the presidency of the Arab summit at the level of the Council of Foreign Ministers, where the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, took over the presidency of the session from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Othman Al-Jarandi, whose country chaired the 30th Arab Summit.
The participants in the opening of the proceedings of the foreign ministers’ preparatory meeting for the Council of the Arab League at the summit level called for the necessity for the Arab Summit, which Algeria is hosting, to represent an “exceptional dynamic to unify Arab positions in order to restore stability in the Arab world.”
