35 people died and 1,019 others were injured in traffic accidents within a week

Thirty-five people were killed and 1,019 others sustained injuries of varying severity in 876 traffic accidents across the national territory, during the period from November 28 to December 4, according to the toll of civil protection services.

The same source indicated that the heaviest toll was recorded in the province of Illizi, with the death of 5 people at the scene and the injury of one person, who was transferred to the hospital center, following 3 traffic accidents.

With regard to the fires, the civil protection elements put out 435 fires, including industrial and domestic fires, and various fires, the most important of which was in the province of Algiers, where 75 interventions were recorded, after 49 fires, in addition to the fact that in the same period, they rescued 351 people from danger.

As for activities related to the prevention of the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), civil protection personnel across the national territory carried out 80 awareness-raising operations for the benefit of citizens across 58 provinces, urging them and reminding them of the need to respect the rules of quarantine, wearing a protective mask and social distancing.
