Six people have died and 363 others have sustained injuries of varying severity, during the last 48 hours, in traffic accidents that occurred in several provinces of the country, according to a statement issued today, Saturday, by the Civil Protection Services.
During the same period, civil protection units intervened to put out 6 fires in Oran, Boumerdes and Ouargla, which caused the slight injury of two people.
Meanwhile, the Civil Protection Units managed to retrieve the body of a young man who drowned in a swamp in the province of Djelfa.
Several water absorption operations were also carried out inside public institutions and residential neighborhoods, while two people trapped in areas hit by rain were rescued, notably in Blida and Jijel, according to the statement of the civil protection services.
