7 people died and 271 were injured in traffic accidents in the last 48 hours.

Seven people died and 271 others sustained injuries of varying severity during the last 48 hours, as a result of traffic accidents across several provinces of the country, according to a statement carried today, Saturday, by the Civil Protection services.

The same source indicated that, during the same period, the civil protection units made 340 interventions for several traffic accidents across several provinces of the country, resulting in the death of (07) people and the injury of 271 others with various injuries.

Meanwhile, two people died of suffocation from carbon monoxide gas emitted by a heater inside their house in the municipality of El Kef El Ahmar during the same period.

In a related context, the same srevices were able to rescue and rescue 39 people who suffered from difficulties and shortness of breath as a result of inhaling carbon monoxide (CO), emitted from various heating devices and water heaters across several states of the national territory.

With regard to activities related to the prevention of the spread of the Covid-19 virus, civil protection units across the national territory carried out 22 awareness-raising operations for the benefit of citizens to remind them of the need to respect the rules of quarantine and social distancing, in addition to carrying out 28 sterilization operations across public and private facilities and structures, residential complexes and streets.
