8 dead and 298 injured in the last 48 hours

Eight (8) people died and 298 others were injured in traffic accidents that occurred in the last 48 hours across several provinces of the country, according to a report by the Civil Protection.

The same services also intervened to provide first aid to 37 people affected by carbon monoxide, emanating from heating appliances and bath heaters inside their homes in the provinces of Médéa (10 people), Naâma (6), Béjaïa (5), Tlemcen and Tiaret (4 each), Sétif, Constantine, Mila and Boumerdes (2 each).

The Civil Protection services also intervened following the recording of 02 gas explosions in 02 homes in the provinces of Batna and Tissemsilt. These explosions caused injuries to two people, the same source said.
