9 dead and 250 injured in car accident during the last 48 hours

Car accidents, across numerous provinces, caused 9 dead and 250 injured during the last 48 hours, according the civil protection toll issued today Saturday.

 Ould Djelal province recorded the heaviest toll, following the death of two persons and the injury of 3 others, in an accident involving 3 cars, in national road 46 of El Chaiba province.

The statement explained that during the same period, civil protection services were called in to help and rescue 64 people suffering from difficulties and shortness of breath as a result of inhaling carbon monoxide gas (CO), emitted by various heating devices and water heaters across several states of the national territory, where the necessary aid was provided to the victims.

On the other hand, civil protection services intervened to extinguish 09 urban and industrial fires in several states and to provide first aid to a person who suffered first-degree burns following an explosion of a gas bottle following a fire at his house in Didouche Mourad District of Chalghoul El Eid municipality (Mila), according to the same source.
