A cruise ship docks at Oran port, carrying more than 200 American tourists

The cruise ship “Silver Cloud”, carrying 224 American tourists, docked on Moday, in the port of Oran.

Excursions were organized for the benefit of these tourists to visit the tourist, historical and cultural attractions of the province in the context of promoting the tourism products that the capital of the west of the country abounds in.

Six tourist circuits were included in this sense, including downtown Oran, the ancient “Sidi El Houari” neighborhood, “Boudali Hosni” square in the same neighborhood, the “November 1st 1954” square, the “Bey” palace, the “Pasha” mosque, “Marjago” mountain, and the “Santa Cruz” fortress.

On the occasion, exhibitions of the products of traditional industries were also organized through these tourist circuits.

A cruise ship is expected to arrive in Oran on September 22, comprising 208 American tourists, as part of city tours, according to the sector’s province’s director.

A third, similar trip was scheduled for the 24th of the same month for 150 American tourists, and other tourist itineraries would also be organized for the benefit of the next two trips.

For reference, these tours are organized by a private Algerian tourism agency in coordination with the state directorate for tourism and handicrafts.
