A delegation from the International Committee for the Mediterranean Games embarked on Friday on a visit to Oran to closely monitor preparations for this event in the city that will host the 19th edition of the Games scheduled for next summer, according to the local organizing committee.
The source pointed out that this delegation, headed by the French Vice-President of the International Committee for the Mediterranean Games Bernard Amsalem, will meet during its stay in the western capital of the country with the various committees emanating from the organizing committee.
In addition to these meetings, which will assess the preparations at the organizational level, Bernard Amsalem and two of his companions from the same committee will inspect a number of sports facilities concerned with the Mediterranean Games, according to the same source.
It is related to sports structures that the members of the international body did not visit on the sidelines of the symposium devoted to the Mediterranean Games, which were held last December in Oran.
In addition to that, representatives of the International Committee for the Mediterranean Games will hold a press conference on Sunday, coinciding with the end of their visit.
As is known, the 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games will be held from June 25 to July 5, 2022 in Oran.
