“Algiers Post” issued a new postage stamp on the occasion of the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Independence Day, symbolizing national unity and reflecting the achievements made during the era of independent Algeria.
This postage stamp, which was issued as part of the program prepared by the post and telecommunication sector to celebrate Independence Day, bore the official emblem that was designed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of independence in the form of a circular frame bearing 60 stars symbolizing the union, national unity and the years of independence.
The stamp contains the national flag, a symbol of sovereignty, and the pages of a book symbolizing the record of national memory. The first golden page of it represents the solid bond and continuity between the National Liberation Army and the People’s National Army and its contribution to strengthening national cohesion.
The logo symbolizes the professionalism of the People’s National Army, the descendant of the National Liberation Army, and its defense of national sovereignty and the preservation of its territorial integrity, in addition to a symbol that reflects the science and technological development witnessed by the new Algeria.
