The services of the National Gendarmerie in Algiers managed to arrest a suspect involved in cases of fraud and swindling, and impersonation of legally regulated position or mission, according to a statement issued on Sunday, by the National Gendarmerie services.
The statement indicated that, in accordance with the provisions of Article 17 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, and pursuant to the authorization issued by the Public Prosecution at the Court of Sidi M’hamed, the regional group of the National Gendarmerie in Algeria informs the citizens that it has arrested the person called A.N.D, for fraud and swindling cases, the impersonation of legally regulated position or mission.
In this regard – the same source adds – “The regional group of the National Gendarmerie in Algiers call on every person who was victim of the aforementioned suspect who presented himself as a high-ranking officer in the National People’s Army, to go to the headquarters of the regional group of the National Gendarmerie in Algiers, or to the nearest National Gendarmerie headquarters across the territory of the Republic to lodge a complaint, testify or provide information that would assist in the ongoing investigations.
