According to a press release from the Ministry of National Defense, on Sunday, March 26, 2023, the terrorist named “Mellouki L’Hbib” aka “Rabia” surrendered to military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, in the 6th military region.
The terrorist had joined terrorist groups operating in the Sahel region in 2012 and was found in possession of a Kalashnikov-type submachine gun, two grenades with two detonators, five magazines, and ammunition.
The press release further notes that this surrender is a result of the qualitative efforts of the security services of the Ministry of National Defense and the strong determination of the People’s National Army to preserve the security and stability of the country.
