A total lunar eclipse will be visible in Algeria from tomorrow Sunday night to Monday

The Astrophysical and Geophysical Astronomy Research Center (CRAAG), announced a total lunar eclipse on the night of May 15 to 16, observable from several places on Earth including Algeria.

“On the night of May 15 to 16, 2022, the Moon will pass into the Earth’s shadow, there will then be a total lunar eclipse observable from several places on Earth”, specifies the press release from CRAAG stressing that in Algeria, “it will be visible at the end of the night, with an entry into the penumbra around 02:30 am, in the shadows around 03:30 am and in full at 04:30 am local time”.

According to the CRAAG, the end of the eclipse will only be visible in North and South America where they will be able to follow the course of the eclipse from start to finish.

The next two total lunar eclipses in Algeria will take place on March 14 and September 07, 2025, added the CRAAG who recalls, on the occasion that “the phenomenon of the lunar eclipse, unlike the solar eclipse can be admired without any danger”.
