3,532 bottles of table oil have been seized by the security services of the province of Adrar, according to a statement issued today, Saturday, by the Communication and Public Relations Cell of the same security services.
This operation, which was carried out during the past week, allowed the seizure of 1,100 cans (5 liters volume) and 2,472 bottles (2 liters volume), which were destined for speculation, according to the same source.
This operation came as a result of activating field work through mounted and foot patrols, as well as information work at the level of the fourth urban security district, which enabled the identification of a suspicious truck carrying the above-mentioned quantities which turned out to be cans and bottles of table oil destined for storage and speculation.
A judicial file was completed against the truck driver, and he was presented to the public prosecutor at the Adrar Court, where a detention order was issued against him, according to the same source.
The operation is part of the efforts made by the province’s security services to preserve the security and safety of citizens, combat all forms of crime, especially those affecting the national economy, and combat speculation in foodstuffs, especially widely consumed ones, according to the same services.
