Africa Cycling Championship: Houili wins two gold medals

Algerian cyclist Nesrine Houili won two gold medals in the women’s elite individual time trial and U-23 road race events in Sahrm El Sheikh, Egypt, as part of the second day of Africa Road Championship (March22-26).

Algerian Nesrine Houili finished the 29.4 km race in 44 minutes and 9 seconds, while Egyptian El Ayem Zayed won the second position by 44 minutes and 22 seconds, while the South African JONKER Kerry ranked third with 45 minutes and 12 seconds.

Later in the day, four Algerian cyclists Salah-Eddine Al-Ayoubi Cherki et Islam Mansouri will race against the clock in 42.6 km, Seniors.

In the middle category, Oussama Khellaf and Abderrahmane Kessir were selected to represent the national colors in the 30 km race.

The Algerian national cycling team was crowned on Wednesday, the silver medal for the race against the clock according to the teams, while the senior team won a bronze medal in the race against the clock according to the teams.
