AGM Mechanical Group: 12% growth in turnover by 2022

The public mechanics group AGM (Algerian Group of Mechanics) has achieved a turnover of DA26.82 billion in 2022, a growth of 12% compared to 2021, a statement from the Ministry of Industry said on Tuesday.

The results were presented during a meeting with the group’s managers and its main subsidiaries and annexes, chaired by the Minister of Industry, Ahmed Zaghdar, as part of a series of meetings to evaluate public groups in the industrial sector organised by the ministry to assess their performance, activities and level of efficiency in 2022.

The public company of mechanical industries and accessories “ORSIM” achieved a 12% increase in turnover and 8% in added value, against a 10% increase in turnover and 12% in added value for the BCR Group, which specialises in the manufacture of nuts and bolts, taps and cutlery.

It should be noted that the Group has about 6,700 employees, and has in its portfolio 29 subsidiaries and companies, including 6 joint ventures with foreign partners, active in the production, material and equipment industry for agriculture and fishing, public works machinery, industrial equipment, engine industry and industrial subcontracting, concludes the statement.
