Algeria celebrates today, Thursday, the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, which falls on June 17 of each year.
On this occasion, several activities are being organized such as tree planting, pedagogical visits to wet zones, and thematic exhibitions. All these activities are being done in partnership with Forest Governorate, Algerian Muslim Scouts, as well as many other associations and universities, in full respect of the preventive measures against Covid-19.
Within the same context, Minister of Environment, Dalila Boudjemaa, participates, via videoconferencing, in a ministerial dialogue on the issue of desertification with Minister of Environment and Energy of the Republic of Costa Rica.
