Algeria condemns in the strongest terms the “extremist” Israeli attacks against Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem

Algeria condemned, today, Sunday, in the strongest terms the “racist and extremist attacks” of Israeli occupation against Palestinian people in occupied Jerusalem, and for preventing them from performing their religious rituals in Al-Aqsa Mosque, in a flagrant violation of international legitimacy resolutions.

“Algeria condemns in the strongest terms the racist and extremist attacks recorded in the occupied city of Jerusalem against Palestinian civilians and the denial of their freedom to practice religious rites in Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the repeated attempts to legitimize the logic of seizing the lands of others by force and imposing sovereignty over this holy city, in a flagrant violation of international legitimacy resolutions” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued today.

The statement went on saying: “In the face of these grave violations that Israeli occupation authorities continue to practice against defenceless Palestinian people,” adding that: “Algeria calls on the international community, in particular the UN Security Council, to move urgently to provide the necessary protection for Palestinian people and their sanctities and to put an end to these criminal acts and to the Israeli policy of occupation of Palestinian territories.”

Algeria reaffirmed, in the same statement, its full solidarity with the Palestinian people in their heroic struggle against the Israeli occupation, reiterating its firm support to the Palestinian cause until the Palestinian people regain their legitimate and inalienable rights, foremost of which is their right to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
