Algeria condemns in the “strongest terms” the terrorist bomb attack that targeted the city of Istanbul

Algeria condemned in the “strongest terms” the terrorist bomb attack that targeted, on Sunday, the center of the Turkish city of Istanbul, causing many casualties, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad.

“Algeria condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist bomb attack that targeted the Taksim area in the center of Istanbul in the sisterly Republic of Turkey, which caused many casualties,” the statement said.

“While extending its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, Algeria expresses its full solidarity with the Turkish Republic, leadership, government and people, in these dire circumstances,” the same source adds.

Algeria reiterated – according to the same statement – the need to intensify the efforts of the international community to combat terrorism based on a comprehensive and multilateral approach that ensures confronting the dangerous growth witnessed by this scourge in recent times and preventing it by drying up its financial and intellectual sources.

The statement concluded by saying: “Algeria, which has suffered from the scourge of terrorism and defeated it, remains convinced that the friendly Turkish Republic is able to overcome this scourge thanks to the unity and steadfastness of its people and their support for the efforts of its leadership aimed at preserving the security and stability of the country.”
