In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad affirmed that Algeria has followed with “great satisfaction the signing, on Monday by the Chadian authorities and several armed groups and movements, of a peace agreement that would open the way for a comprehensive national dialogue in N’Djamena for a lasting peace in the Republic of Chad.” “.
The same source added that “Algeria extends on this happy occasion its sincere congratulations to the government and all Chadian parties for their great commitment to this process,” noting the “important contribution” of the State of Qatar, which has hosted and facilitated the talks during the last five months.
The ministry called on “the Chadian actors to make this agreement a success and to turn once and for all the divisions between brothers and violence in order to work together to promote the implementation of the goals of the current transitional period, especially in the field of stability, development and good governance.”
