Algeria-Italy: signature of 15 memorandums of understanding and bilateral cooperation agreements

Algeria and Italy signed, Monday in Algiers, on the occasion of the 4th Algerian-Italian Intergovernmental Summit, 15 memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements in many fields.

The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, under the supervision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the President of the Italian Council of Ministers, Mr. Mario Draghi, who is currently in Algeria. for a working visit at the head of an important delegation.

These agreements and memorandums of understanding were sanctioned by the signing of the Final Declaration of the 4th Algerian-Italian Intergovernmental Summit, by President Tebboune and the Italian Prime Minister who co-chaired the work of this Summit.

These are memoranda of understanding in the fields of crafts, pharmaceutical industries, entrepreneurship, investment development, prevention and fight against corruption, public works, start-ups , industrial and energy cooperation, renewable energies, social development and solidarity.

A cooperation agreement in the field of protection of historical and cultural heritage, a cooperation protocol in the justice sector and a Declaration of intent in the fields of higher education, scientific research and diplomatic cooperation , were also signed.

It should be recalled that the President of the Republic had a face-to-face meeting with Mr. Draghi. On this occasion, bilateral discussions concerning several sectors also took place between the Algerian and Italian delegations, bringing together the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and of the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, of the Interior, of Local Authorities and of Regional Planning, Kamal Beldjoud, Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Abderrachid Tabi, Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, and Public Works, Kamel Nasri, in addition to the President of the National Prevention Body and the fight against corruption (ONPLC), Tarek Kour, with their Italian counterparts.

The President of the Italian Council of Ministers began a working visit to Algeria on Monday. He was welcomed on his arrival at the Houari-Boumediene international airport by the Prime Minister, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane, and members of the government.
