Algeria oil production to rise by 2,000 barrels a day this September

Algerian oil production will increase by 2,000 barrels per day, to reach 1,057 million barrels per day in September, Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab said Wednesday.

This rise comes as an implementation of the decision of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies, or what is known as OPEC + group, taken at its 31st ministerial meeting, held today, Wednesday, through video conferencing tools. The total production of the group is to rise by 100 thousand barrels per day next September.

OPEC+ ministerial meeting was preceded by 43rd meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, with the participation of Arkab.

This meeting was devoted to study the conditions of the international oil market and the prospects for its short-term development, in addition to assessing the level of compliance with the obligations related to the production of the countries of the Declaration of Cooperation for the month of June 2022.
