Algeria proposed, on Wednesday in Cairo, the implementation of an Arab health organisation, a proposal that will be included in the agenda of the 56th ordinary session of the Council of Arab Health Ministers to be held on Thursday, and to be submitted later to the Arab Summit.
Representing Algeria, Health Minister Abderrahmane Benbouzid proposed the creation of an Arab health organisation at the meeting of the executive bureau of the Council of Arab Ministers of Health, according to a ministry statement.
This initiative was welcomed” by the Council’s Executive Board as it should establish a consensual and participatory working method and encourage the exchange of expertise between Arab countries.
The proposal will provide an appropriate platform for launching collective Arab action on policy coordination and performance improvement in the health fields.
