
A framework agreement has been signed between Algeria and Qatar on the reinforcement of cooperation and investment between the two parties in the field of the development and management of hotel units belonging to the HTT group (hotels, tourism and thermal) by the Qatari company “Retaj” Hotels and Hospitality.
Signed by the CEO of the HTT group, Mohamed Anouar Benabdelouahad, and the chairman of the board of directors of the Qatari company “Retaj”, Sheikh Nayef Bin Eid Al Thani, under the supervision of the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Yacine Hamadi, this convention provides for “the mobilization of the necessary investments to promote the hotel units in accordance with the international standards and to improve the quality of the services in this field”.
Within the framework of this convention, the Qatari company “Retaj” will bring its support to the 73 hotels belonging to the group throughout the national territory, as regards management, rehabilitation and improvement of services.
Within this framework, Mr Hamadi underlined the need to promote the management of the hotels belonging to the group and to improve the services within the hotel units in order to attract tourists, stressing the necessity to take advantage of the experiences of the Qatari leader of the hotel industry “Retaj”.
“Other conventions and contracts will be concluded in the future between the two countries to raise the level of bilateral relations in various fields, especially in the tourism sector,” he said.
