Algeria strongly condemned the terrorist attack, which took place last Saturday, in the Torodi district, in the southwest of the Republic of Niger, killing 18 soldiers and leaving a number of wounded and missing.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad said in a statement, today, Monday, that “in these painful circumstances, Algeria extends its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and expresses its full solidarity with the government and brotherly people of Niger, affirming its continuous support for them in their war against terrorism.” .
The statement added, “Algeria reiterates its firm commitment to the fight against terrorism, as well as its support for international and regional efforts aimed at eradicating this scourge whose spread in the Sahel and Sahara threatens stability, peace and development in all the countries in the region.”
