Algeria to organize the African Conference for Emerging Enterprises

Under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and organized by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Emerging Enterprises and Small Enterprises, Algeria is holding the first African Conference for Emerging Enterprises, with the participation of ministers of African countries and representatives of international and continental bodies concerned with developing the field of startups and innovation, experts and actors in the ecosystem in Africa, from 05 to 07 December at the International Conference Center “Abdelatif Rahal”.

This conference is considered the first of its kind on the continent, as it aims to unify government efforts aimed at strengthening the role of emerging companies in Africa, and dedicating their contribution to economic development, whether through exchanging experiences between countries on public policies developed in this regard, or facilitating the spread of emerging companies to access regional sources of financing and invest more and more within the African space.

The African Conference for Emerging Enterprises will also include a ministerial meeting of African ministers related to the field of innovation and startups, which will seek to adopt a declaration that will serve as a road map for the participating African countries, and will establish a dynamic of cooperation between innovation ecosystems within the continent.

The African conference will also feature an exhibition of startups from various African countries, and thematic sessions hosted by international experts on a number of issues related to the problems facing innovative African youth, the capabilities that the continent has in the digital field, and the future of entrepreneurship in Africa.
