Algeria-Turkey: Preparations for first session of High-level Joint Cooperation Council

 

Algeria and Turkey are preparing to hold the first session of the high-level joint cooperation council, which will take place under the chairmanship of the presidents of the two countries, said Wednesday in Algiers, the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab.

During the proceedings of the 11th session of the Algerian-Turkish Intergovernmental Committee, Mr. Arkab said that this session will constitute “a new era of cooperation and bilateral partnership”.

In this context, the minister praised “the quality of relations and political dialogue between the two countries, reflected by the signing of the joint statement on the establishment of the High-level Cooperation Council headed by the Algerian and Turkish presidents, as well as the distinguished dynamic of high-level bilateral meetings, especially during the recent period.”

He also pointed out to “the importance of bilateral economic and trade cooperation and partnership relations, which is reflected in the purposeful positioning of Turkish investments in Algeria and Algerian investments in Turkey.”
