Algeria U17 football team trains in Algiers ahead of Africa Cup of Nations

Algeria National Under-17 Football players are in training camp since Saturday at the National Technical Center of Sidi-Moussa (Algiers), for a training session that will last until Friday, said on Sunday the Algerian Football Federation (FAF).

This training session is part of the preparation for the next Africa Cup of Nations (CAN U17), scheduled from March 13th to 31st in Morocco. The draw will take place the coming Wednesday in Mauritania, on the sidelines of the CAN U20.

In addition to Algeria and Morocco (host country), ten other countries sealed their berths for the final stages: South Africa, Cameroon, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, Senegal and Zambia.

The national coach, Mohamed Lacete, has selected a group of 23 players, and the team will play two friendly games on March 3 and 7 against U17 selection of Côte d’Ivoire.
