Algerian Football Association: Mohamed Maouche takes over as Acting head of federal body

The vice-president of the Algerian Football Association (FAF), Mohamed Maouche, has been appointed, today, Thursday, March 31st, 2022, to act as Acting head of the federal body until the holding of an elective general assembly.

“I am officially resigning from the presidency of the Algerian Football Federation (Faf). Legally, who succeeds me to manage the current affairs of the federal authority and the preparation of an Electoral Assembly in the next few days will be the first Deputy of the Federation. But since in federal laws there is no vice-president, the outgoing president is entitled to appoint those who will be entrusted with the task of managing the affairs of the body and preparing an Electoral Assembly in the coming days”he said.

Following his resignation, today, Thursday, March 31st, 2022, from the presidency of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), Charaf-Eddine Amara designated Maouche as an Acting president pending the organization of new elections.
