The Algerian national road cycling team won the gold medal – according to teams / elite men, in the road race in the 2022Arab Championship, which took place today, Friday, in Kalba (United Arab Emirates).
The Algerian team includes Azzedine Lagab, Nassim Saidi, Hamza Ammari, Islam Mansouri, Ayoub Souhiri, Salaheddine Ayoubi, all of whom competed at a distance of 128 km.
For its part, the junior national team won the bronze medal in the road race, behind Iraq (gold) and Saudi Arabia (silver).
The Algerian athletes participating in the 2022 Arab Championship achieved a good harvest during the first five days of the competition.
The 2022 edition of the Arab Cycling Championship is considered a qualifier for the Summer Olympics, scheduled for 2024 in Paris (France).
