Algiers Arab Summit: President of the Republic invites His Highness the Emir of the State of Kuwait

Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab was received, Monday in Kuwait, in his capacity as special envoy of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, by His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to whom he presented the letter of invitation addressed by the President of the Republic to His Highness, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to participate in the work of the 31st Arab Summit scheduled in Algiers on November 1 and 2, 2022, said a press release from the ministry.

The meeting allowed a review of the ongoing preparations for holding this summit and making it a renewed station for promoting Arab consensus and strengthening joint Arab action, allowing to confront the various common challenges facing the Arab nation. In this regard, the Minister affirmed the President’s aspiration for the qualitative participation of the sisterly State of Kuwait to make this summit a date for reunification and to impart a new spirit to Arab solidarity.

The meeting also allowed to reaffirm the importance that the two parties attach to strengthening the brotherly relations that unite the two countries and expanding their bilateral cooperation to include various areas of common interest, in line with the considerable capabilities possessed by the two countries, especially in light of the encouraging results of the state visit that the President of the Republic made to Kuwait in February, last year.

His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, instructed the Minister to convey to the President of the Republic his personal and fraternal greetings. His Highness also valued Algeria’s tireless efforts to make this important Arab event a success, reiterating Kuwait’s support and full readiness to contribute to this noble endeavour, stressing that Kuwait will be the first to attend and the last to leave.
