
The Directorate of Electricity and Gas Distribution of Djisr Kasantina municipality (the capital) has connected ten wells to electric power in four provinces east of Algiers, in order to secure the supply of drinking water, according to a press release issued by the directorate.
The Directorate of the Algerian Company for Electricity and Gas Distribution stated that “in implementation of the emergency plan aimed at securing drinking water supplies for the prvince of Algiers, it provided ten artesian water wells with electric power within four days (from September 9 to 12, 2021).”
The Directorate of Electricity and Gas Distribution of Djisr Kasantina stated that 22 artesian wells are expected to be connected to electric power before September 20, according to the program established by the province of Algiers at the level of the municipalities of Bir Touta and Baraki, which in turn will contribute to alleviating the problem of conflicting water resources.
