Anti-illegal traffic in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the 1st judicial police district of Algiers has dismantled a criminal group that trades in hard drugs, a statement from the General Directorate of National Security said on Tuesday.
The same statement indicated that under the permanent supervision of the competent regional prosecution and after obtaining permission to search and extending the jurisdiction, members of the same squad were able to arrest three suspects, whose ages range between 25 and 40 years, with the seizure of 400 grams of hard drugs “cocaine” and an amount of 49,000 dinars in national currency, two tourist cars, an electronic scale, and five mobile phones.
After completing all applicable legal procedures – the same statement adds – the suspects were presented before the competent judicial authorities.
