The security services of the province of Algiers arrested five people suspected of involvement in the theft of a vehicle in Birtouta, according to a statement by the same services.
The source indicated that the arrest “was carried out under the supervision of the competent regional prosecution, after a complaint was lodged by a citizen regarding unknown persons entering his house at night and stealing his mobile phone and his vehicle.”
After intensifying research and investigations, the security forces were able to arrest the perpetrators and retrieve the vehicle on the same day.
The suspects were presented before the competent regional prosecution after completing the legal procedures, the statement added.
