The Electricity and Gas Distribution Company (Sonelgaz) in Annaba has set up an exceptional plan to ensure a quality service for the supply of electric energy and gas to the various facilities involved in the 2022 African Football Championship competitions for local players, which will open tomorrow, Friday, in Algiers, part of which will be hosted by Annaba, according to a statement issued today, Thursday by the same company.
The plan includes the allocation of a medium-voltage backup line in anticipation of any emergency, in addition to carrying out maintenance and insurance operations for the electrical and gas supply network that supplies the May 19, 1956 stadium and the Colonel Chabou training pitch, in addition to the five hotels designated to accommodate the team delegations.
The plan also included the mobilization of 44 shift teams, which are supervised by 92 specialized agents and maintenance personnel distributed according to an intervention plan that guarantees rapid and effective response in anticipation of any emergency, in addition to mobilizing specialized shift teams at the May 19, 1956 stadium to ensure the quality of service supply with electricity.
The city of Annaba will host the second group matches, in addition to one match in the quarter-finals of the African Football Championship for local players, CHAN 2022.
