People’s National Assembly (APN) ends this Thursday the debate sessions around the Declaration of general policy of the Government presented last Monday by the Prime Minister, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane.
The program for this last session provides for interventions by 20 deputies and then those of the presidents of the six parliamentary groups.
The Prime Minister will then respond to questions and concerns raised by the 344 MPs who have taken turns since Monday.
Most of the deputies welcomed the government’s declaration, particularly in the diplomatic area, as well as the measures taken to preserve socio-economic stability, such as the creation of unemployment benefit, the regularization of the situation beneficiaries of pre-employment contracts and salary review.
Other elected officials called for greater efforts to implement the program of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, particularly in regions lagging behind in terms of local development and suffering from shortcomings in sensitive sectors such as Health and Education.
Presenting the Government’s general policy statement, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Government’s action was essentially articulated, during the period from September 2021 to August 2022, around the pursuit of the far-reaching political and institutional reforms decided by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
In the social section, the Prime Minister said that the annual budget allocated to social transfers exceeded 5,000 billion DA, which denotes “the determination of the State to preserve its social character”.
“At the end of August 2022, the trade balance recorded a surplus of nearly 14 billion USD, against a deficit of 862 million USD during the same period of 2021”, indicated the Prime Minister, recalling that this deficit had reached 10.6 USD billion in 2020.
