Arab-China States Summit: Prime Minister holds talks in Riyadh with Iraqi Prime Minister

Prime Minister Aïmene Benabderrahmane held, today, Friday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, bilateral talks with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, on the sidelines of the Arab-China States Summit for Cooperation and Development, according to a statement of the prime minister’s services.

The statement indicated that “the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, expressed, at the outset of the talks, his sincere congratulations on the success of the Arab summit that Algeria hosted last November and his aspiration to implement its important outcomes for the benefit of joint Arab action and the core issues of the Arab world.”

The talks, the same source adds, constituted an opportunity for the two parties to highlight the historical bonds of solidarity and brotherhood that bind the two sister countries and to affirm their joint will to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, especially by activating bilateral cooperation mechanisms, especially the joint committee for cooperation.

The meeting took place – according to the statement – “in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Ahmed Zeghdar, and the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezzig.”
