Arab Cup for U-17: National team starts a preparatory training

The Algerian national under-17 football team has started a preparatory training in anticipation of the Arab Nations Cup for this category, slated for July 29 to August 15 in Morocco. The national team is led by national coach Rezki Remman, and the training will continue until July 16 in Algiers, according to the Algerian Football Federation.

The teammates of  Kheireddine Azzouni (Sidi Bel Abbas Academy), performed their training at the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa, and they also conducted a training session today, Wednesday, on the pitch of the July 5 complex.

The technical staff invited 29 players, including 21 from the Algerian Football Federation Academy in Sidi Bel Abbes, and the other eight players are from ES Setif (3), Athletic Paradou (2), JS Saoura (1), Zamalek of Egypt (1), and Le Havre, France (1).

In the Arab Cup competitions, the national team is in Group B with the United Arab Emirates, Djibouti and Libya, and the matches will take place on July 29, August 1 and 4, respectively.

The Arab Finals for the U-17 category will be marked by the participation of 16 teams divided into four groups, each of which includes four national teams, with the first two places qualifying for the quarterfinals.

The Arab Cup for under 17 years is organized by the Arab Football Association. The first edition took place in 2011 in Saudi Arabia and was won by the organizing country. The second edition was hosted and won by Tunisia in 2012, and the third was organized by Qatar in 2014 and was won by the Iraqi team.
