Madjid BOUGUERRA, coach of Algeria’s local national team, said that his ambition in Lebanon game, scheduled tomorrow, in the fourth group, is to win in order to book a ticket for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
“We have an important game ahead of us in order to qualify for the second round, which is a difficult game” BOUGUERRA said during the press conference today. We watched the performance of the Lebanese team during the match against Egypt, where they succeeded in offering good defensive roles while relying on the individual skills of their players to keep up with the opponent. I think we will face some difficulties, especially on defense.”
The head coach of the Algerian national team pointed out that Lebanon will play in order to keep its last hope to stay in the tournament, noting that “The Lebanese national team is capable of creating trouble for other teams, as shown during their previous encounters in recent times, whether in the Asian qualifiers or against Egypt.”
Madjid BOUGUERRA highlighted the good quality of the stadiums on which the tournament matches are played.
“The stadiums in Qatar are fantastic and the atmosphere here is of international level, I am proud to be organizing the World Cup in an Arab country, and happy to have Qatar organizing this event.” He said.
