Arab foreign ministers adopted today, Wednesday in Cairo, the decision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to hold the next Arab summit, to be hosted by Algeria, on the first and second of next November, coinciding with the 68th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious liberation revolution, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community abroad.
The statement of Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “Arab foreign ministers, meeting today in Cairo as part of the regular session of the Ministerial Council, adopted the decision of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to hold the next Arab summit, to be hosted by Algeria, on the first and second of next November, coinciding with the 68th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious liberation revolution.”
The same statement added, “The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, made, during this session, a presentation on the most important results of the consultations led by the President of the Republic with his Arab brothers, directly or through his special envoy, stressing the symbolism of the date he chose for the holding of the summit, considered a federating date that instills the unity and solidarity of Arab states and peoples’ with the glorious Algerian revolution and the proves the adherence of Arab countries to the values of the common struggle for liberation and the right to decide on their common fate, especially amid the increasing challenges imposed by the dangerous and accelerating tensions on the international scene.
The same statement indicated that “by adopting the resolution to hold the Arab summit on the first of the glorious month of November, the Arab peoples will witness an important political event in the history of the Arab nation which is expected to open new horizons for the common Arab action to enable the Arab nation to make its voice heard, in addition to the involvement and the positive impact left both at the regional and international levels, it will also constitute an opportunity to celebrate with the Algerian people and all Arab peoples the glories of this nation and to inspire their determination to achieve a future vision and reach a comprehensive Arab renaissance in all fields, allowing the Arab region to position itself again on the map of international relations.
