Arab summit: Lamamra meets with his Kuwaiti counterpart

Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, held a working session on Friday in Algiers with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, with a view to strengthening coordination between the delegations of the two countries and ensure the success of the ministerial preparatory meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level in its 31st session scheduled for November 1 and 2.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the work of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League (CESA) at the ministerial level, in preparation for the Arab Summit in Algiers, which is being held at the Abdelatif-Rahal International Conference Center in Algiers.

At the end of the meeting, the Kuwaiti minister declared to the press “I am happy to have met my counterpart, the Algerian Minister for Foreign Affairs, and wish full success to Algeria for the Arab summit”. He expressed his belief that “the summit will achieve its objectives and come out with positive results for our countries and peoples.”

“‘This summit, he added, comes at an important time when the world is witnessing accelerated developments and we must as Arab countries, unify our ranks and work to preserve our interests and those of our peoples.”

The work of the meeting of foreign ministers of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level will begin on Saturday and will continue for two days.
