Arab Summit: Minister of Communication inspects working conditions of journalists at the International Conference Center

The Minister of Communication, Mohamed Bouslimani, inquired, Sunday at the International Conference Center (CIC) Abdelatif-Rahal, about the working conditions of Algerian and foreign journalists responsible for covering the work of the Arab Summit which will be hosted by Algiers, on 1 and 2 November, expressing his satisfaction with the modern equipment provided to facilitate the mission of journalists.

In a statement, Mr. Bouslimani said he inspected the equipment made available to Algerian and foreign journalists, in order to facilitate their information work.

The Minister visited radio and television studios and newsrooms equipped with the latest computer media and also inquired about the work of the Algérie presse service (APS) agency, which ensures coverage of this important event.

In this context, the minister said he had exchanged with some Algerian and foreign journalists who expressed their great satisfaction with the good working conditions that were guaranteed to them.

The Minister of Communication also visited the space reserved for the Arab Radio and Television Union (ASBU) where he met with its director general who also expressed his satisfaction with the means provided and the modern equipment provided for transmission of the Arab Summit.

Algeria has always been up to the task of organizing such events, indicated the CEO of ASBU.

In this regard, Mr. Bouslimani made a point of highlighting the important role of journalists, with a view to ensuring “global and successful” media coverage of this Summit which, he said, will be “exceptional to all levels”.

Mr. Bouslimani also took the opportunity of his presence at the CIC to welcome the foreign media delegations present in Algeria to cover the Arab Summit, whose preparatory work ended on Sunday afternoon at the level of the Arab Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
