Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab received on Sunday in Algiers the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Yamada Kenji with whom he discussed the development of cooperation relations in the energy fields, the ministry indicated in a statement.
“The talks between the two parties focused on the development and strengthening of relations of cooperation and partnership between Algeria and Japan in the field of energy, described as very old and excellent”, according to the same source.
The Japanese Minister, while recalling the quality of the relations maintained by the companies of the two countries in the energy sector, expressed the interest of the Japanese companies to invest in Algeria in particular in the fields of hydrocarbons, mines and renewable energies, and wished to strengthen cooperation in other areas of common interest, adds the ministry statement.
