The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received today, Sunday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, the CEO of the Italian company “Eni”, Claudio Descalzi, in the presence of the CEO of Sonatrach, according to a ministry statement.
The statement of the Ministry of Energy and Mines indicated that during the meeting, “the two parties reviewed cooperation and partnership relations that link Sonatrach Group with the Italian oil company “Eni”, describing them as historic and excellent, in addition to the prospects for their strengthening.”
The same statement added, “The Minister of Energy and Mines and the CEO of “Eni” also discussed the current situation and development of the international natural gas market, as well as business opportunities and future prospects for investment in the field of new energies and renewable energy, hoping to see the development of promising projects that encourage the exchange of experiences and the transfer of technologies.”
For his part, “The CEO of “Eni” said that he is very satisfied with the partnership between Sonatrach and “Eni”, expressing his great interest in continuing to invest in Algeria, which is a reliable and credible partner, especially in the field of oil exploration and renewable energies.” the statement concluded.
