Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Army-General Said Chanegriha, supervised, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defense, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the official installation of Major General Abdelghani Rachedi as Director General of Documents and External Security, succeeding Major General Djamel Kahal, According to a statement of the Ministry of National Defense.
In his speech during the installation ceremony that took place at the headquarters of the General Directorate for Documents and External Security, Army-General Said Chanegriha said: “In the name of the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Minister of National Defense, and in accordance with the presidential decree dated July 13, 2022, I officially appoint Major General Abdelghani Rachedi as Director General of Documents and External Security, succeeding Major General Djamel Kahal.
He went on to say: “Therefore, I order you to work under his authority, obey his orders, and implement his instructions in the manner dictated by the interests of service, in implementation of the applicable military rules and regulations and the laws of the Republic, and in fulfillment of the sacrifices of our righteous martyrs and the values of our glorious revolution.”
This occasion constituted an opportunity for the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army to hold a meeting with the executives of the General Directorate of Documents and External Security, during which he delivered an orientation speech in which he gave a set of instructions and directives mainly related to the need to exercise the utmost vigilance and professionalism in performing the tasks entrusted to them, urging them to redouble efforts, in order to keep pace with the accelerating geopolitical changes at the regional and international levels.
In conclusion, Army-General Said Chanegriha supervised the ratification ceremony of the minutes of the power transfer.
